A tender moment between parent and newborn baby captured in black and white.

every detail, emotion, and first cry- preserved.

Over the past couple of years, I have really felt the pull to capture moments that feel fleeting. I figured out very quickly, after shooting a birth for free for a friend, that a birth is one of those moments. I have photographed seven births now!

From the moment your baby arrives to the end of golden hour, each moment is so sacred. It would be the honor of my life to capture your little one's arrival into this world!

Birth Photography

What to Expect?

Birth photography is different than your regular sessions and weddings. My goal is to be present but silent and allow you and your family as much privacy as you want during this time. I will schedule a meeting with you to discuss your birth plan, specific shots you want and any questions and requests you have! The first payment is due when you book me to secure your spot.
You will get black & white, and color images of every photo.

What types of photos do you capture?

This varies per client depending on how much privacy you and your partner want. I usually tend to lean towards capturing the emotions of the birth (you and your partner), the details, and even the nurses and doctors in the room. We can discuss what you are envisioning for your photos on our phone call.

Are you on call?

I will be on call for you from 37 weeks until your baby is born. This means, I’m available 24/7 to come to your birth, at any time. You or your partner will text me when you are in early labor so I know to be ready, then you can call me when you are in active labor (6cm) and I will know to head your way soon! I will be ready to go when you call, even if it is the middle of the night.

If you go into labor before 37 weeks, I will still make it to the best of my ability!

Do you offer video?

Yes! I can offer iPhone video & we can discuss this on our phone call of what you are envisioning.

How many photos will I receive?

This varies per client, for some births I have given over 1000 photos, others were shorter births and I have given between 300-400 photos. I will give you all the raw images in your gallery that are just for you to have. The edited photos will be the ones you may want to share.

What if you can't make it to the birth?

Births are unpredictable, so if I cannot make it to the hospital in time or arrive at the hospital and cannot take photos for any reason, we will discuss what a refund/payment plan looks like when the time comes!

A "Fresh-48" session (photos within 48 hours after birth) can be arranged to replace what might have been missed in the event of a missed birth.
